A duo of professional flutists who perform and compose chamber music repertoire for two flutes. They began their artistic activity in 2020, presenting a program that chronologically showcases examples of the evolution of the repertoire for these instruments.
Andrés Zuluaga.
He began his musical studies in the same city at the age of 10 with Maestro Hugo Espinosa at the University of Antioquia. At 17, he continued his studies in France, under the guidance of masters François Veilhan, Sophie Dardeau, Isabelle Lartillot, and Gaspar Hoyos.
There, he completed his studies, specializing specifically in chamber music, early music, and symphonic orchestra.
He has performed with the Colombian Symphony Orchestra, the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra, the Early Music Orchestra and Ensemble of the Nancy Conservatory, and the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he has participated in several concerts as a soloist.
At the Nancy Conservatory (France), he pursued studies in early music, focusing on performance with historical instruments under Professor Isabelle Lartillot, specializing in Traverso. During this time, he had the opportunity to perform in concert with musicians such as Jean Philippe Navarre and Jérome Mondesert, among others.
Currently, he continues his exploration of early music and chamber music, both independently and as a guest musician with the Spicata Ensemble of Medellín, the Polifonic Studio of Medellín, and other various ensembles.
Repertoire
We perform pieces from the Baroque, Romantic, and Modern periods. In this selection, we include a composition created in collaboration by both of us.
